Spark Innovations in affiliation with Kitchen Innovations proudly introduced two outstanding new products at the March 2011 International Home and Housewares Show (IHHS) at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Spark Innovations in affiliation with Kitchen Innovations proudly introduced two outstanding new products at the March 2011 International Home + Housewares Show (IHHS) at McCormick Place in Chicago. The Snufflighter and the Turkey Tent were both met with tremendous response. The IHHS offers top quality trend setting products for the tabletop, kitchen, houseware and indulgence sectors. Buyers and users got an exclusive look at the latest innovative products. Table and kitchen textiles and accessories, paper napkins, bar and beverage utensils, and gourmet gifts were just a few of the new product lines.
Large and small exhibitors linked to the houseware industry showcased their products, including cookware, bake ware, and textiles to targeted buyers and increased their network. More than 60,000 visitors attended the show including 15,000 U.S. buyers and 6,000 non-U.S. buyers. Many of the other visitors included importers & exporters, retailers, wholesalers, contractors, interior designers, planners and construction professionals. There were also housing manufacturers, specialty retail stores owners as well as department stores keepers and direct TV representatives. Over 2,000 exhibitors from 35 countries presented an assortment of housewares.
The show had a huge emphasis on product design with four separate exhibitions under one roof.
The areas included Dine + Design, Wired + Well, Clean + Contain, and Global Crossroads. Kitchen Innovations and Spark Innovations were in the Dine + Design area. This area included everything from fine china and linens to giftware and lighting and included a new Discover Design section with an Inventors Corner.
Major brands such as Cuisinart, Kitchenaid, and Waring offered private meeting rooms in two story high booths staged in the Wired + Well area of the show. The Clean + Contain area displayed floor and carpet care, personal and household appliances from major brands such as Bissell and smaller companies like Neater Pet Products, one of Spark Innovations' successful clients. The Global Crossroads area offered a collection of over three hundred Chinese manufacturers with booths full of moulded, spun, stamped, pressed and packaged products for interested importers from North America and beyond.
It was impossible to see it all in only three days. The wide range of products and ongoing presentations on Global Trends, Consumer State of Mind, Legal Challenges in new Product Development and Design and all the exhibitors made for one great housewares show.
