Sketching

Design for Manufactiuring

Because of the cost restrictions for each line of product, certain manufacturing methods were chosen for certain elements. Some of the elbow pad lines required a hard elbow protector, vacuum molding allowed the team to create interesting shapes while keeping costs to withing the price-point. Knowing the manufacturing method early on, allowed the team to sketch features that were conducive to vacuum forming.
