Power Toothbrush

This project was developed and led internally by the industrial design team. The power brush utilizes all modern product design techniques and our extensive knowledge in toothbrush development.

Aluminium Body

The main body is designed with an extruded aluminium tube body with uniques waterproofing and assembly techniques, as well as internal design features that prevent accidental brush activation when the tube is removed for battery replacement.

Power Head

The replaceable power head has a uniques design that allows the vibration motor to be located near the top of the head, providing maximum head vibration action. The strategically located elastomer rubber bristles and tongue cleaner provide gum massaging. The power button is located on the head and translates the activation force through two elastomer buttons stacked on top of each other to reach the switch.

Prototype Development

The design and development of this power toothbrush required several prototype revisions to fine tune the vibration in the head. Several size and power motoers were used and tested, the location of the motors and the space around them was redesigned and prototypes several times before a production CAD package was created.
