It’s that time of year again, where we all struggle with the cold weather. As designers we believe in falling in love with the best of what winter has to offer. The following products have been designed and developed by our team of Industrial Designers and Mechanical Engineers to help you reclaim some joy for the winter season.
Helmet Design: Scott Chase Winter Helmet
Spark Innovation’s 3D surface development services were put to the ultimate test in the production of this cutting edge helmet design for Scott Sports. The extreme design requirements in this product were easily handled by our professionally certified Catia surface design experts. -Collaboration with Apparatus Inc.
Shovel Designs: Snow Shovel- Brush Shovel
This snow shovel was designed with bristles mounted at the base of the shovel keep the blade 5/16” or 8mm off the ground. This feature prevents the shovel from getting stuck on cracks and uneven surfaces like traditional shovels and doubles as a sweeper.
Designing Block Heaters: The Hot Block
In parts of Canada and the northern US, the temperatures during winter are so low that most people require block heaters. For their vehicles. This aftermarket retractable engine heater cord developed by Spark has a short 110 VAC male plug that hangs or is tied just outside the front grill of the vehicle.
Winter Sports Product Design: Snobird
The Snobird is a innovative and exciting trick board that has created a new approach to x-treme snow sports. It is the first and only one of its kind in the world. We have developed this patented, freestyle snow riding board with a boundless, dual board device, attached by a multi-axial rotating handle bar system, which allows for the Snobird rider to complete the multitude of “flip”, “grab” and “rail” tricks that were once confined to a skateboard.
